    Fish course sorted.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Think he was in a nightclub from memory. Him and two mates sounds familiar, I think they got shot too.

EDIT: Full story here, fella: The Beeb

1 Flanagan (and Robinson) are at a key point in their careers. They need to be well-handled, to get plenty of matches (almost certainly somewhere else), and to be well coached...otherwise they will fade away to Otsemobor levels.

Frankly, I think that also applies to a number of the other young players people on this website (but not me) seem to think are ready now.

I think a number of them need loan moves. I know most people on here see that as the kiss of death, but it shouldn't be. We've had players who have had years in the reserves and then have been brought into the first team haven't been able to make the step up, similarly we've had players like Insua who have been stuck in the first team early and struggled. I think we need some kind of middle ground and for me that is loaning players out. It gives them more experience and another view of the game which so long as they are at a decent club with decent manager should be good for them.

For me the problem with youngsters in recent years is that their development has been mis-handled. Maybe they weren't the greatest of players but for players to be going from being considered a talent at LFC in the youth and reserve teams to struggling to make the bench at League 1 clubs shows that something has gone somewhere.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
