Don't think we have the ability at the present to have only 1 upfront (Kuyt). Our wingers don't have the quality for goals.

We really should play our strongest squad on paper.

    ------------Reina------------
    Finn----Agger----Carra---Riise
    Pennant--Gerrard--Xabi---Luis
    -------Kuyt---Crouch--------

Subs: Fowler, Gonzales, Zenden, Sami, Aurelio

Leave Bellamy for now, I'd rather have Robbie against the Arse.

Pennant can do the job on the right. I'd rather have Gerrard in the middle bustin' a gut.

I think Arsenals "D" is a little suspect. If Gerrard plays in the middle he could tear them a new arse....Ha ha. And Agger in our D please. We need his pace plus he's got the ability to score from the head and feet.

442 is the way to go. If we want to win we're gonna need to score. Playing with 1 up front means that we will just be sitting back playing on the counter. Kuyt will get tired and end up useless. You can't do that against arsenal. We'll get punished. Look at that game against Moscow in the Champs. The Ruskis just sat back and let them dictate play. If the arse weren't so inept at finishing that night they would've got a cricket score! It wasn't until Moscow came back at them that arsenal looked shakey.

We need to ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK! Mentally destroy their confidence.

      Usual back 5.
Zenden to keep his place in the middle alongside Alonso with Stevie and Luis out wide.
      Dirk and Crouch up front.

      Any other options?

Anybody saying pennant should play right mid will be severely kicked up the arse !!

The main change is gonna be in midfield. Gerrard will be moved back to CM with Alonso. Garcia will take the RW spot, while Gonzalez might continue on the left after his impressive performance Wednesday night.
The rest of the team picks itself.

To be honest I think we need to be wary of thinking that Gonzalez has found his feet now - Pennant was mint against Reading but didn't shine against Brum.

Not really. I was hoping for well balanced, well thought out, informative or witty responses. Yours fails to fall into any of these categories squire.
