Your worst suggestions for a signing..

I remember when Riise left I suggested an ageing Roberto Carlos as a decent short term signing for us and was roundly abused on here for it

I guess the classic one was El Matador suggesting we get Brian McBride in ASAP .

Neil Young in the General Football thread just reminded me that DWW was advocating us signing Tuncay not so long ago too, so we're all culpable

With the benefit of hindsight what's the worst signing for LFC you've ever suggested?

Hmmmm need a think about this one.

This pre-dates my time on the forums but when I first saw Mario Melchiot play for Chelsea (he played in midfield), I said he was the new Patrick Vieira.

Also pre-forum days...in about 2002, I wanted us to sign David Dunn.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Michael Duberry back in about 1996 when our defence was ****.

                Oh and Lee Bowyer

Liked Robert Molenaar too at the time. Shows how bad our defence was until Hyypia and Henchoz rocked up.

I remember getting excited about us signing Kewell, Smicer and Paul Stewart
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Cisse was another. He was around when Youtube first came to my attention. I remember his compilation being emailed around. He looked like an absolute world beater from that clip. I thought he was going to be a superstar for us

Lee Bowyer - another final piece in the jigsaw (in my mind anyway)

Those that killed her, were following the law.
