Mocking Stewart Downing is a tradition in our club. Of course some ****ers would have us turn our backs on our traditions. ****in internet fans.

Oh come on. Those days are long gone. There is no loyalty in football anymore, players **** off for any reason these days and teams **** players and managers off as and when they want. Money has destroyed the game, its eaten itself so to expect the fans to maintain the traditions and loyalties when in reality we're seen as nothing more than cash dispensers to the owners, is ludicrous. Footballs brought this upon itself.

The old game, the old traditions and romance just doesn't exist and fans have changed and are now sceptical for a bloody good reason. Its nothing to do with the Internet , we are simply what they have made us.

Definitely, our midfield is seriously crying out for some more ability and we need options out wide. We need more intelligence than Enrique has too.

Think that is a very rosed tinted view of things quite frankly.
Football has been about money for a long (listening to Pink Floyd will tell you that, or reading about the abolition of the maximum wage), long time, the difference is now simply the changes in communication, nothing more.

It was. We were absolute gash. Borini fed off scraps really. Couple of half chances, including one at the end where the keeper made a decent save

We got better when Lucas came on , good goal by Downing and Sterling looked good on the left

First competitive game away from home this season and we have a win with the second leg in Anfield with Reina , Agger , Carroll and Suarez to come back into the team and maybe a couple of new signings before next week
