Anyone know how Sean Highdale got on last night? did he get a game even?.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Cheers mate.Originally posted by southern redplayed first half, looked fairly tidy. Wasn't really stretched as England strolled into a 3-0 lead, so it was difficult to tell how good he is / could be
And welcome

Tut tut. That's both ungallant and wrong.Originally posted by DJSSo just you then
I'm too old to remember it..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think it was his debut wasn't it?Originally posted by MumsafanHe was wearing the number 4 (
), he made two dodgy tackles within the first 20 minutes and got booked!!! Went on to do pretty well once he'd calmed down.
Did really well and actually got commended for his booking which wasn't malicious but a bit too strong. NI were complete rubbish so although we scored 3 he was MOTM in my opinion even with just a first half.
Was it me or were the English boys about twice the size of NI?
