Think the 2 comps are treated as different but also the qualifiers don't count.

Seems to have developed okay. I think the problem there was regime change and consequent lack of faith. With young players sometimes it takes time (see Lucas). I tend to think players with the right attitude come through. In general you don't get to pick and choose.

I don't think that last season depth was a problem and given the players who left/are leaving didn't play all that much I don't see it as our biggest problem this season either.

I don't think depth was a problem last year but we had experienced players who could fill a number of positions Kuyt (Striker, RM) Bellamy (Striker, LM, RM) and Maxi (LM or RM) taking those players out and replacing them with kids could be a problem.

Also I think Lucas was brought through slowly he was rotated with Xabi and Mascherano, but he didn't play week in week out until he'd got quite a bit of experience.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I've slagged Downing off, perhaps a bit unfairly even though he is ****.

I'm hoping he does well this season, perhaps last season was just a bad one who knows.

If he starts our next two matches then he might just make his way into my FF team.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

looks like they have made the bar and posts a little narrower, too. maybe that makes the goals a fraction bigger
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Making the net less visible is surely a bad idea seeing as we have such a hard time of hitting it in the first place
