Apparently we had 60% possession in the first half according to the stats on the stream I was watching - which surprised me. I thought the first half was very even, although they got the goal I thought we created the better chances.

The first 10 mins of the second half we were good, then when we conceded the penalty and went down to 10 everything changed. After that we were awful. I think if we'd had 11 men the game would have been very different.

Well yeah that's obvious, but it still doesn't mask the fact that the main threat to West Brom's goal was Suarez and his dribbling ability rather than us taking the game to West Brom as a team. Now I can appreciate that it's early days and the team interplay at this point can lack cohesion, but I find it laughable really when Rodgers comes out and says stuff like "the players ran themselves to a standstill" when it clearly (to my mind) is not the case; the work ethic just wasn't there.

Hmmmm, our 'rivals', spurs and arsenal, didn't win either so it's no such a terrible result in context.

I though we looked promising in the first half and that goal was a sucker punch. Would be great if we managed to nab some real quality to replace downing before the window closes. I also thought Kelly let the side down in possession.

My biggest worry going into the season, was not tactics, style of play, formations, who will play where..but what our reaction would be if we went a goal down..and it still exists we still lack belief that we are capable of winning from a losing position and capitulate.

I think we still lack the players for the style of play and formation being used. some of our players do not seem suited to this style of play. Only bright side is, Lucas and Allen looks like they could form a great partnership... in the near future.

In a sense I think it could be good for us. We can only improve our home form and nearly always raise our game against the good sides at home. City aren't always the most convincing travellers. Nick a win next week and all will be rosy again. They're not unbeatable.

Yeah I agree normally I would agree but playing them next weekend might have come too early for us. Especially with Agger suspended
