Sterling was our best player by a distance, everything we created came through him, I thought that all the midfield three Adam, Henderson and Spearing were poor and they didn't work as a unit. Henderson was the best of the three, but that's not saying much given how the others played. Shelvey was anonymous so much so I honestly for got he was playing in the second half he did so little. I was disappointed by Borini up front.

Sterling was definitely the highlight - really bright. Henderson, nice and tidy. Borini worked hard but lacked quality.

We've played weakened sides in various cup competitions and it seems we always struggle. We've lost against similar sides in similar circumstances in the past, so I'm just glad we won.
