agree that enrique is off the pace, and seems to loose the plot once he passes the half way line. looked good defensively but now seems meh.
    supporting the attack wise...

still, just because enrique is iffy, maybe sticking drowning in there is a little like the square peg for a round hole
agger would be a better fit, with coates/skrtel in the middle...

Bearing in mind that Sunderland are likely to go with Adam Johnson one side and Mclean the other I would worry about Downing LB

If we are going to drop Enrique then swich Glen Johnson to LB and bring Kelly in.

Agger at LB should never be considered

He is too old for LB experiment.

He is partially to be blamed on Sunday as he hesitated for a moment and let Cazorla snuck by him.

He has no defensive instincts + he is too passive to play that role.

We either play him as a winger or we just sell him, which really would be the best.

i hate seeing the dagger at LB. hes IMO our best centre half and imperative to our passing style. he always seems to drift centrally when he plays LB anyways. robinson if fit could be brought through but id worry about him and sterling on the same side so young.

agreed agger but kelly has looked to be going enriques way too. he's not a RB IMO and gets caught out way to many times.

downing against hearts (yes i know) gave a good account of himself at LB when played there.

i know agger is our best defender, but skrtel and coates can cope well enough. if agger plays LB then a central defender doesnt end up being pulled out of position to double up with a ropey downing or enrique.
agger can still carry the ball up the field, and will tighten up our defensive unit as a whole.
trust me... it would work just fine

even coates at lb is a better option than the other two.

I suspect we'll nick it, but a loss wouldn't come as any surprise whatsoever.

If we lose will it be a crisis (and not just in here!)? I have a gut feeling we will go and win, but the players did seem very mentally fragile in the last game and that really worries me.

is there anything that isnt a crisis in here?!?

but seriously . . . . no. its far far far far too early into the season and rodgers reign to be making any kind of judgement whether that be good or bad. we have started well (good performances bar the weekend) without converting chances but even that cant be read into too much. there cannot be a crisis till january IMO when we will see how the first half of the season has panned out.

Don't know about crisis but I do agree it cant help mentally especially with Utd the game after.

A bad start to the season can be overcome, Arsenal got smashed 8-2 last year and still finished 3rd.

Very similar start last year - worse in fact. Drew with the Toon 0 - 0, then lost to us 2 - 0, then lost to the scum 8 -2.

However, I have my doubts whether Suarez will turn into Robin Van Persie in September.

Always a ropey game, but we should get a draw minimum if we have a fully functional squad................................oh

we should go with a more solid midfield with allen, hendo and gerrard.

Shelvey is developing nicely but when him and gerrard play in our midfield, we're just too open.
