I thought Gerrard and Shelvey did alright against City.

They didn't get overrun which was my main fear.

Oh please ... my god .. you have lost your mind

We win and it sets up nicely for the United game at Home, I quite fancy this game

Either way I know all of this is going to take a long time ...

4 games in and we are already talking about Crisis's

Why is Henderson more solid, he makes less challenges than everyone else in our team.

Going away on holiday and will miss the games against sunderland, Young Boys and the scum. Normally this would hurt a lot, now I'm only glad

In the 5 or 6 games I have seen so far I am yet to see Borini play centre IIRC. He will be the Downing on the right in Kenny's Team the Dirk on the right in Rafa's team etc. So why do most pick him to play in the centre when Rodgers has not?

Its never made sense to us, but to the managers it does and no amount of debating on the forums is Rodgers going to suddenly shift Borini to the centre.

Kinda not true; he reads the game and 'nicks' the ball as apposed to going to ground.

I'd agree that he lacks bite in most instances, but he does have a good ability to win the ball back.

He really doesn't. He is rarely in position to actually make such challenges.

This doesn't prove much, but it shows he does tackle - and tackle well.

He lacks tenacity and if you looked at the stats for the number of challenges he made compared to other midfielders, he could possibly feature quite low. However, when he does go for the ball, he usually gets it and by not going to ground too.

Yes, but look at the table I have put up. It may be a nice win % but he averages a tackle every 52 minutes.

You're right - he does make less challenges than the rest of the team.

I do believe when *he* does challenge, he does it well and he does it successfully.

We both know he's not gonna throw himself into tackles, but I do think he reads the game well enough to tackle well ... just not that often.

Wouldn't be confident even if we were playing my son's under 10 team at the moment.

If we escape with a draw I'll be happy.

I'm looking forward to playing the mancs more than this game. Just don't lose.

Its not been a good start but I didnt expect us to be flying from the off. I was more hopeful than anything else so its not a surprise.

It takes a while to understand a system that is very different to what we played last year. I said ten games and im going to stick to that.

Ou continuous mishaps in the transfer market are really undermining any good intentions we have. No so called top club can be run like this.
