And hopefully the Refs show some compassion & at least give us a fair rub of the green. Something that hasn't happened too often.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I don't know if Refs have the power to use their own discression in such issues. If they did I'm sure Ngoo wouldn't have been carded. Hopefully it will be rescinded.

Oh yeah, by the letter of the law the ref has to book him..........but likewise, I don't believe anyone could, or would, have said anything about the ref if he just held back on this one occasion.
The scale of the emotion this week appears to be so widely felt in the football community, that, for once, good reason should have overcome the rules.

Wonder if anyone in the first team is planning something similar ?

(note: we need to score first of all etc etc)

              Sunderland flags at half mast

Flags at Sunderland's Stadium of Light will fly at half-mast on Saturday as a mark of respect to those who died at Hillsborough.

              Last Updated: 15/09/12 at 12:09

The Black Cats host Liverpool in the Barclays Premier League in the evening kick-off, at the end of a week during which a damning independent report into the tragedy was published.

Sunderland chief executive Margaret Byrne said: "We recognise and respect the significance of this week for fans and our friends and colleagues at Liverpool Football Club.

"The Hillsborough tragedy had a profound effect on football as a whole and the thoughts of everyone at Sunderland are with all of those affected by the tragic events of April 15, 1989."

                  Is Enrique injured?

                  Edit: Oh, he is.
