I didn't like his Scouse supremacist, anti-wool/OOT bollocks, nor did I like him saying the fight for justice would never be won. Also...and I got where he was coming from with this......belittling supporters/'wools' who have no direct association with the disaster (i.e didn't lose a loved one/friend) but who still care about it.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I've listened to a lot of radio commentary over the past two days and read some of the posts on here. Tonight I'm necking a bottle of wine and struggling with my emotions - sadness, anger, hatred, love, and sheer relief at the apology from Cameron. I don't have any direct connection to 23 years ago. My mates and relatives came back. Ok they were consumed by survivors guilt or refused to talk about what they saw but they survived and I'm thankful for that.
To think the people who are supposed to protect us connived to blame and the state sanctioned it - it's evil. That cunt Mackenzie and his mealy mouthed apology sullied the airwaves but it was amazing to hear Trevor Hicks ignore his legal advice and treat that so called apology with the contempt it deserved.
23 years ago I was a 23 year old watching the coverage in my bedroom in tears. 23 years later and this all seems so fresh, so vivid and yet it belongs to a generation ago.
I can only seek solace from the community we are in here, the dignity of the HJC and families, and be thankful for all the good times, the trophies, goals and the understanding of what it means to support this great club.
RIP the 96 - you will never be forgotten. There will now be justice. Justice. At last."Love, love is a verb
Love is a doing word"

I agree that I can see where he's coming from in a way. 'OOTs' like myself and various others are nowhere near as emotionally connected as the people within the city and people who were there and had family there, doesn't mean our thoughts are fake or meaningless though.
It's bad enough reading this and we'd never pretend to understand what they're going through. A tragedy is still a tragedy. Injustice is still injustice. I think we can all agree with that.

Apologies for being a top lurker, but yeaterday's announcements were unreal.
I'm in a Cyprus at the moment for a family wedding so it's been hard to keep up with the events.
I saw the highlights of Cameron's statement on Sky and was amazed! Read the Mail today (sorry but not much choice in Cyprus!!) tand thoughts were turning to anger. However, catching up with the thread in the last hour has been heart breaking - my wife even asked if I was ok - I wasn't! Tears of anger were in my eyes! I'll be honest - I skimmed a lot but I'll catch up and read EVERYTHING when I'm home next week.
But reading the main points it brought back so many memories! Remember the day like it was yesterday - was supposed to be in Leppings Lane but due to a travel mix up I couldn't make it so gave up my ticket the day before.
Sitting there on that Saturday afternoon was unreal - thankfully everyone I knew who was there was ok, but 96 weren't!
To the families my utmost respect - 23 years and finally the truth! YNWA x

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I see he hasn't explained why an elected representative of the People availed himself of secret briefings by police officers and then secretly fed that information to a news agency that in turn fed The S*n.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post.

Sorry, I was just trying to say that marking a part of your statement as "adverse comment" could be nothing more than a note to aid drawing up the summary of your statement. The summary sheet includes various boxes, one of which is "adverse comment" - the note on your statement simply makes sure the person ticks that box on the summary. "Coding" is what you call that box ticking of the appropriate option.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostFairly calm today to be honest. I took the day off and found it quite cathartic to read through some of the documents even if at times it appears as though there has been some doctoring of the evidence.
Not sure what that is but it made it more difficult to copy and paste!
Your posts yesterday and today - and the statement - are very moving.

I really hope some of those involved, maybe those lower down the chain of command, now come forward and admit to their wrongdoing, and tell us who ordered what and when, and how were those orders communicated to those amending statements and the like.Last edited by Vermilion; 13-09-12, 10:08 PM.

Been away for a week and stuck at a conference all day. Just been getting up to date with it all. Horrific stuff. Plenty of great contributions in this thread. Total admiration for those that kept up the fight. Rip 96.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
