I assume, that as it has not been announced, we still haven't found out who destroyed... sorry, 'lost' the footage that went missing from the police control room

@Linda_Pizzuti: I have only admiration for the dignity & courage the Hillsborough families have shown in the face of such immense adversity. #JFT96

For those who do not know who he is he is the Political Editor at The Sun and is also a scouser.
Incredibly he is a mate of the fella I sit next to at Anfield and I once got a ticket for Citeh away from him. When the ticket arrived with a note on a S*n letterhead I remember posting something on here or Kraptalk about whether I should morally accept a ticket that had come from an employee of the rag.
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

The depth of the cover-up and the sheer number of parties involved who knowingly provided false information doctored statements and passed on incorrect information without validating anything is absolutely disgusting. People have known they have lied about this for 23 years and are only apologising because they got caught. They deserve to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and sued by every family affected by this tragedy.

I don't believe in god but if there was such a thing as hell, these people deserve to be in it just like they put all victims of this travesty and their families through for the last 2 decades.

Now that the truth has finally been recognised (and not uncovered as some report - all Liverpool fans knew the truth), I hope that justice will swiftly follow.

Its been 6 minutes and my wikipedia edit still stands. I couldn't be arsed putting too much time or effort into it so just a sly addition to the opening line suggesting he is the largest member of the weasel family.

How the hell did he manage to get the role of CC Merseyside Police?

I understand the whole promotion process but this never did sit right with me..

He's been lying so long he probably believes it. It'll be like a muscle reaction "Hillsborough? Yeah, Liverpool fans' fault"

I'm still trying to comprehend the magnitude. I think only "The Truth" about the second Iraq War could compare to this right now in terms of miscarriage of justice.

I hope a lot I'd people go to prison for this. Couldn't give a **** how old they are or what health they're in, if they've taken part in this conspiracy, they should be ****ing punished.

Also...and I got where he was coming from with this......belittling supporters/'wools' who have no direct association with the disaster (i.e didn't lose a loved one/friend) but who still care about it.
Aye, it was powerful stuff from him and his account of things brought the reality of their loss close to me.

Likewise, I was not overly impressed with anti wool/OOT/Scando comments. It was uncalled for and way out of order.

I have supported Liverpool fc all my life and will continue to until the day I die. I have actively supported them in the UK and throughout europe. I was not born in Liverpool or even Lancashire. I come from the east of england and now reside in Norway. THIS does not make me any less of a supporter than those fans who were born in Liverpool or the surrounding area.

Apologies for the mini rant (not the time and place) but I felt it had to be sent

I will be at the game againgst the mancs. As usual on my visits to Anfield, I will go to the memorial and my respects. As normal it will be an emotional time for me even though I never knew any of the 96 fellow reds who lost their lives doing one thing they loved, supporting Liverpool fc. This time around it will be slightly different as my wife and daughter will be with me for the first time. I know I will struggle to explain to my daughter the enormity of what happened, whilst also trying to re-assure her that she will be safe at the game

For me it's not the location which is the mark of a true fan but the attitude.
