An update on this:Originally posted by scully View Post
Royal Mail Workers at the Skelmersdale Depot have just released the following Statement re: delivering the S*n next week
next Thursday & Friday the sun plan to send out through royal mail 22million copies of a world cup edition of the sun
Liverpool, warrington and some CH postcodes are exempt from this, however as it stands the staff in skelmersdale are being told we will have to deliver them
with the backing of the CWU this morning we informed them that if any copies of the sun cross the gates we will walk out
we've been urging people today to voice their concerns about this by ringing customer services
any support would be greatly appreciated, let's stop 60,000 copies of that ****e going out
customer services number is 03457740740,get this around twitter ,facebook etc
DONT BUY THE SUN

I was wondering the same, I don't live in Liverpool so it is quite likely that they will send one to me, I was thinking the same about an unstamped envelope but if there is some kind of organised protest doing that would be better, is anyone aware of anything planned?Originally posted by Alex View PostHow can this be properly protested? Is there a return address to send it too or something? I dont want it, plenty of others wont either.
Unstamped envelope? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not as far as I'm aware mate.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI was wondering the same, I don't live in Liverpool so it is quite likely that they will send one to me, I was thinking the same about an unstamped envelope but if there is some kind of organised protest doing that would be better, is anyone aware of anything planned?
I would suggest to anyone wanting to do something nasty / threatening inside an envelope and posting it back - don't.
The only thing that could potentially get a message through is to post the paper back to them - page by page - so they have to pick up the postage. Even then you'd need a vast amount of people to do so to make a slight impact.
If one does come through my door then I'll just bin it.

I'm not going to do anything nasty or threatening, I would probably just send it back in an envelope with no stamp so that they have to pick up the postage. I would probably also send an email of complaint to Royal Mail.Originally posted by Lee View PostNot as far as I'm aware mate.

But as I say if anyone knew of any better / organised protest I think that might be a better option. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Oh yeah, I wasn't implying that you were intending to anything of the sort.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI'm not going to do anything nasty or threatening, I would probably just send it back in an envelope with no stamp so that they have to pick up the postage.
