What are your realistic expectations for LFC this season? I think it is unrealistic to expect this squad to finish in the top four, personally. Unless there are a couple of "big" signings in January, which I'd seriously doubt because January is always a sellers market, I think that we will finish around 5th/6th with a ten point gap off fourth.

League cup retained, FA cup victory over the scum 6 -0 would do, Europa cup win 6 -0 over Barcelona having beaten Real Madrid in the semis 6 -0. Premiership Champions with 106 points and a goal difference of + 205 (35 x 6 -0)

I think its going to depend heavily on if Suarez finds his shooting boots. Sixth would be nice (I dont think Suarez will stay here longterm if we dont qualify for the Champions League say by the end of next season). A top six finish would be a spring board into next season.
Thing is, who else is going to knock them in if Suarez dont? Perhaps if Sterling can get into the box, he has shown he knows where the net is playing for the youths. Pretty high expecation for a 17 year old, and pretty sad that that maybe the best we have to offer. Gerrard is slowing down, but can still hit an accurate shot if he can get into those positions. Outside of that, I dont see anyone else. None of our other midfielders look like they can score regularly, and we dont have any other strikers. I mean we have Borini, but he has not shown he is not suited to play in a wider role. Perhaps he would look better centrally. Its very early but I just dont see much there so far. Rodgers must obviously rate the guy, so perhaps he will be the surprise package.
If we finish like last year, 8th may be optimistic. Everyone above us has strengthened. I think we are weaker as a squad. If we lose Suarez for any length of time, then we could be proper ****ed.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Out early in all three cups and a run of amazing performances followed by several **** ones.
Oh, and no player will exceed 15 goals.
This.
Lots of the other competitors have a number of scorers who they could expect to get aronud this or higher...
City-Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko with Yaya, Silva and Nasri scoring semi often.
United- RVP, Rooney likely to score 20 in the league with Welbeck, Hernandez and Nani scoring semi regularly.
Chelsea- Probably a bit weak. Hazard and Mata will probably score quite often as well as Lampard who seems to still score semi often and Torres as well as possibly Oscar and Ramires.
Arsenal-Depends on how Podolski and Giroud settle, but they could turn out to be very prolific. Then they have Arteta, Ox and Walcott.
In reality unless somehow some of our players find a good vein of form where they regularly score I can only see Suarez scoring often with the odd goal from Gerrard, Borini and Sterling... That really wont be enough to compete with the top 4 teams, let alone overtake them. I think we will be lucky to compete with Tottenham for 5th...96 Never Forgotten

Expectations were always Top 4
Now, I just don't really care, as long as BR's long term plan genuinely looks like it is falling into place. And if it does I expect FSG to back their man to the hilt next Summer."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Do you honestly believe that??? we could not get out our **** together for half a season and a few good results would see you easily get out of the bottom half.
