I will be very disappointed if he's not in the side. He's absolute quality and given how much effort we put in to signing him it'll be very disappointing if he's on the bench again.

We've got to get him up to speed ASAP. We can't afford to not utilise that sort of quality.

I can't quite make my mind up around Borini; should we rest him as he's pretty much our only option up top? Or do we give him some game time so he can hopefully find the net and build up his confidence?

Having said that though, his first 2 full league games will have been v Arsenal and Man Utd, a real tough ask. He has the quality, it is about his fitness so hopefully he gets a decent run out on Thursday.

I’d be very surprised if he starts against United. He seemed well off the pace against Arsenal, so I think we’ll use Young Boys and WBA to help integrate him into the side, with Jonjo keeping his position in the league for now.

I think we have to play the defensive 6 wholesale (i.e. the back 4 + both deepest lying CMs).

Like everyone else I'd like to see Sahin play and it would be nice to see wither some young players or Assaidi get a chance.

I think this depends. I would imagine our target is something akin to Spain - control first, then from that platform create. We need the players to understand how that part of the game works and ideally for the same six players to be able to change into a system with one deep CM with two ahead.

A lot of people said the same things about Lucas as they are about Henderson. The thing is it was clear that Rafa was working with Lucas to adapt his game and he was willing to adapt. It is not clear either Rodgers or Henderson have a clear vision of his evolution as a player.
