    Ah okay, just saw it

"The occasion had been impeccably observed by both clubs and by both sets of supporters until the game's conclusion.

"With the stadium virtually deserted except for the Manchester United supporters kept back in their section of the Anfield Road end, there was a brief outbreak of the chant 'Always the victims - it's never your fault'.

"It ended after a few seconds with unconfirmed reports that it was prompted by some provocation.

"The United fans were then kept back for another short period before being allowed to leave Anfield.

"It provided a blot on what was an otherwise solemn and dignified occasion but should not detract from so much of what else went on during a day when the Hillsborough families and victims were remembered."
"Unconfirmed reports" - hopefully that's just them making it up. The ground was empty when they sang their poisonous ****e.

True but my point was I just don't want the result to dent the team's confidence. That's the last thing we need atm.

Couldn't believe how obsessed the media where with the handshake when you consider the Hillsborough situation.

We dominated them and the ref got two things wrong.

We need some points just to take the pressure off

              That's horrendous.
Can't say I'm surprised, the whole unite the fans thing seemed a bit forced. But that is shocking from them.

Certainly seems to disprove the 'it's just a couple of bad apples' theory as well.
It will be interesting to see if there is any media backlash for them on this, and I'm quite surprised/impressed that SKY reported it.

Disgraceful alright.........even when asked all week to just be respectful of when we were doing our YNWA bit before the game, they resorted to United chants and City songs.
And by 'they', I mean the majority...not a minority.
Can't be dismissed easily away as banter IMO......just lack of class, only done to elicit a response of some kind.

According to Collymore the stadium was empty apart from United fans, who were being kept behind as a police safety tactic. So have Sky said how exactly a Liverpool fan was able to wind them up from outside the ground? Or have they moved on?

I reckon Rodgers made a huge mistake when he replaced Sterling with Henderson, I understand that he was trying to stop United controlling the middle of the park but Henderson is not the individual you assign to try and dominate midfield.
If Sterling had played the full 90 minutes could we have a got a point, hard to say but at least we would still had some threat in the final 3rd.

I thought Henderson did well when he came on, helped get back possession and he was keeping it simple as well. Was a good tactical move IMO as United was starting to dominate the midfield, especially Paul Scholes. It put an end to that.
                          Are we winning?

I think keeping as much as experience on the pitch as he could might have entered his thinking......I know Henderson is young but he's played a good portion of games, and with Suso already on the pitch, he probably felt he needed to consolidate our position with us being down to 10 men.

Nothing more to be said about that cunt Halsey. A shocking series of typically dreadful decisions. The number of extremely dubious decisions that go their way against us is unreal.
I made this point in the match thread. It's supposed to be 30 secs per sub and 30 secs per goal, plus the time for stoppages. Agger was down for 4 mins, there were 6 subs (2 of which were made at half time so don't add anything) but that is another 2 mins, 2 goals at 30secs each means a minimum of 7 mins total, plus he warned Man Utd about time wasting, and he still only awarded 5mins
