I often scan the top page of 'highest rated' comments (news articles got me into this habit).
I'd never before realised the level of pure ignorance and blind hatred towards us was so relentless.
As someone pointed out, the commentators are what's causing this as much as anything, tagging almost every touch Suarez takes with a snidey comment about his 'reputation'

As Distin comes in his left foot toe pokes Suarez's thigh, this is why Suarez went down imo, yes your correct in that he doesn't need to go down, but nor do a load of other players in the league either, but they do.Originally posted by barnes10 View Post
Imo, 9 times out of 10 when Suarez go's down and people say he dived, there is contact, very minimal yes, but he feels it and has been taught to go down, we need to get that out of his game.
What gets me though is that when it's a manc player, it's always...'oh there was contact, so to the letter of the law blah blah!'
But with Luis, it's always..'Oh he exagerrated it....he was hardly touched blah blah!'
Stinks!Last edited by Vermilion; 25-09-12, 06:11 PM.

Yes but you'd need to get away with two dives to equalise! It's a small disincentive.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postthey still would have beaten us.
But another goal would have more than equalised. The game would have been 2:0 - 1:1 = Liverpool 2 Man Utd 1.5Was muß, das muß.

With a bent ref it would make no difference, they would just disallow any goalOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostYes but you'd need to get away with two dives to equalise! It's a small disincentive.

Don't dare criticise a ref who gives the Mancs favourable decisions:
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has been charged by the Football Association for comments made after his team's 4-0 defeat at Manchester United.
Martinez accused referees of favouring United at Old Trafford and believes striker Danny Welbeck should have been sent off in the 15 September game.
United were awarded a penalty, which was saved, after keeper Ali Al Habsi was judged to have fouled Welbeck.
Martinez has until 16:00 BST on Thursday to respond to the charge.
An FA statement read: "The charge is in relation to an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 concerning media comments which implied that the match referee and/or match officials in general are motivated by bias and/or brought the game into disrepute."
