A striker (dempsey or otherwise) would have made a difference vs Sunderland and Man City.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostAnd you think Dempsey would have made the difference today? Well, I doubt it but woop-di-doo, maybe you're right and maybe you're wrong, there's no way of knowing. Still, I didn't notice us miss that many clearcut chances.
If Borini is injured a striker would have certainly helped up till Jan.We come not to play.

Also think if he had prioritized a striker over Sahin, we'd have another striker by now instead of trying to get arm twisted on the deadline dayPatience when teased often, transforms into rage

Trying to close my eyes to the league table, our points total and the potential injuries and focus on the great performance and promise of our young squad. Great to see Suso slot in and join Sterling and look like they should be there, rather than youngsters chucked in because of our wafer thin squad.
The important thing for fans to do now is to keep patient and not round in on Rodgers because we're in the bottom 3.
Two wins from the next two games would help, mind.

United get these decisions every game.. Just last week they got a pen for Welbeck diving same weekend Suarez was booked when there was contact.. The second they stop getting these decisions they complain.
This league is crooked as ****!.
Promising signs from us.. Owners need to step up now I agree, only so much Rodgers can do with 2 hands tied behind his back.Vive la France

After five ****ing games, three of which were against the top three last season. No-one's happy about the lack of depth up front but it's crazy to suggest we're locked in a death spiral as a direct result of that and that alone.Originally posted by Imy View PostI'm not blaming Rodgers, I'm blaming the lack of spending on strikers
And on the other hand, you're praising the way we play and that youth has been given a chance.
Add it all up and it makes no sense..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

This is the only valid point you can have.Originally posted by Imy View PostA striker (dempsey or otherwise) would have made a difference vs Sunderland and Man City.

Borini was BR's first choice target. He started both games and didn't do much. If BR wanted a better striker, he would have got him pretty early in the window. He wanted Sahin more than he wanted another striker.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

Dominated United but means nothing if you can't get results. First off ref was a disgrace, sending off, soft peno and ignoring suarez peno shout even if he exaggerated and nobody seems to be mentioning rvp two footed lunge that went unpunished.... so many small decisions too.
It's incredible how badly halsey performed. Anyways its over nothing we can do. Thought Gerrard was outstanding. Johnson, Kelly and sterling were excellent... Bringing the predictably non existent Henderson on for him was baffling to me as he was giving evra a nightmare, took the punch out of our attack.
Borini worries me, clearly not a wide man but yet Rogers seems to play him there. Has good movement and works hard but he looks technically horrible and seems to have no composure. I thought we bought Borini to stay in the box and score goals?
I was glad to see suso on instead of him, looked miles a better player. Ah well worse start in over 100 years and someone clearly has put a hex on us!
Still think Rogers and Liverpool have been unlucky with decisions, performance s and injuries. But I suppose we just haven't taken our chances when we are on top of games.. Same old story.

Would it?Originally posted by Imy View PostA striker (dempsey or otherwise) would have made a difference vs Sunderland and Man City.
Of course it would be better to have more experienced strikers..
