Thanjk you.

Not saying that the League is corrupt, but (and we already know this), Ferguson has far too much power in this country with the FA. Far too much.
I think it is corrupt, not (necessarily) in the sense that there is any financial exchange or even direct trading of favours, but due to the processes being distorted by the insider power of senior Manchester United officials, and leverage through the media. Governing bodies in many sports are prone to this kind of corruption.
There is plenty of circumstantial evidence to support investigating whether there is a pattern of favouritism in decisions made by the FA and any supposedly independent processes under its aegis.
Incidentally it's not true to suggest there is no evidence of corruption in English football as there is clear prima facie evidence indicating a conspiracy when the first FAPL TV rights were awarded.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Yeah, I agree.
Misworded what I meant to say really. I suppose Ferguson and United having such a level of influence corrupts the game.
When you look at the facts, the articles and watch the games I find it incredible how the media have never really called Ferguson out on it or demanded some sort of investigation.
The real damming stats are those of the referee's in that above article. It stinks.
im sure we will be scrutinising the refereeing decisions in the newcastle v manure game. unbelievable stuff
Unfortunately none of us would be arsed watching all their games but if we did I'm sure there would be plenty of instances where they get away with murder, the cunts. I'll be watching their referring appointments with interest from here on.
Time to split this discussion to a new thread perhaps?

and would be good to carry over some of the discussion that is relevant to dodgy decisions and possible corruption in the game.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Agreed
Fergusons sphere of influence is enormous and it is unhealthy imo for the game
When he eventually leaves United I am hoping that some of their power and influence is dilutted but then again maybe I'm an optimist as you suggested in another thread
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
I haven't seen this from an official source, but a few people on Twitter are claiming the following...
After his failure to award Man United and Ferguson sufficient injury time to equalise against Spurs on Sunday, Chris Foy is refereeing Accrington Stanley v Rochdale in League Two this weekend.
Ref takes charge of United losing at home.
Ferguson complains bitterly
Ref is demoted to League Two a week later.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
