oh yeah forgot to add that i have finally admitted downing is ****.

a full england international who cost 20m got shown up by everyone in a red shirt today. assaidi was full of threat, suso came on and did more than downing did all game.

The youngsters are getting in to winning ways, just need the established ones to follow suit

Downing was the only weak link tonight. Henderson deserves a bit of praise for keeping the play ticking over. He needs to take control of the midfield more though. He did a job for us though.

And the thing is - Downing missed a lot of play around himself - so Pacheco, Wisdom and Yesil could not count on him being there. Down.. lost several passes, looked static.

Henderson seems to love to sidepass - whereas his longer passes just keep spinning off to an opponent. Sahin, Wisdom and Coates were clearly better in making the through-ball for the front men.

**** sakes. Still can't get over this. Best match of the season so far. I am so interested to see who is selected against Norwich now. Having real competition for places. I think Wisdom or Robinson will start at the weekend. Coates possibly because Agger may still be recovering. Coates was a ****ing rock at the back. Then you have midfield. Oh jeez the competition. How are we going to decide between Shelvey, Gerrard, Allen, Sahin and Suso? Add Lucas into that mix and that's a headache. A good headache to have though. Assaidi. What a signing! 2-3m and he is a much better player than Downing who cost about 20m more than him.

It was mesmerising. Better than anything the first team has produced so far. Makes me wonder.
