first league game i've allowed myself to watch so far and its been good, very good in patches. the good and bad of luis, he's at his best being instintive, a toe pock, a flick with the outside of the boot, but give him time and he has no composure. he won't change. he can't change. loved the finish for the second. wisdom looks very assured. suso and sahin looking good too. its all very promising. fat brenda may be a gobby cunt but he's having the desired effect.
I always liked going to carrow road. good fans overall. very noisy and supportive of their team. OK the luis chant is boring but its not doing any harm for us. I like it when home teams are rude, noisy and fair. Portsmouth springs to mind.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
And my stream is showing 'Soccer Central' with American accent. At least they've said Suarez's was a nailed on penalty without mentioning anything about the 'repution' and all that BS.
The transitions from defence to attack are beginning to look extremely pleasing on the eye; the angles we are finding - and more importantly - we are aware of, is excellent. We look comfortable with the ball infront of us, but there are still large voids of space behind the full-backs and there are still question marks around the defence once the ball is behind us, but as long as we take our chances, then I'm sure that will be ironed out over time.
Suso is my new man-crush - he's just a delight to watch on the ball; his poise, balance and ability is there for all to see. Sahin is controlling everything whilst hardly breaking a sweat and Gerrard is making some excellent runs off Allen. Sterling has been quiet, but that's mainly down to our approach play coming down the right, but has shown great awareness by filling in at centre forward when Suarez has dropped deep. Wisdom is having a great game - at times making a back three with Johnson pushing forward - and has looked more than ready for the occasion.
Over half the players in our team's surnames starts with an s.
With stats like that there can only be more goals in the offing
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
We used to play like that under Roy Evans though. Arguably the tactical/defensive side of our game then was not very good but it's a similar type of football.
