Thanjk you.

I disagree with almost all of those names, Lungberg has had his day may have been at one time, Toure certainly isn't. Gallas I'd forgotten about, so possibly him. Giggs and Scholes certainly wouldn't wlk into any team in the world, but again in years gone by the might have. Rio I've never been convinced of since he's been at Man U, and Van Der Saar maybe.
Giggs and Scholes are wc. Both very intelligent players who have the ability to be the difference in matches. Is there a better left winger than Giggs at the moment? also he has been consistent for so long. A few weeks ago someone (may have been on here or in the general media) was saying that Scholes had been the best midfielder in the EPL.
Toure certainly is top draw, he has developed into one of the most strongest, quickest, intelligent and domineering CB's in world football. all the more so as he is not the tallest player in the world.
Rio-everyone knows he has the talent, but is the laziest sod in the world,

disagree - Scholes and Giggs are/have been very good, maybe even great players but not world class.
Giggs in his pomp probably was World Class - and he's now probably even more influential for United than he has ever been, but he is not as good a player as what he was 10 years ago.
Was thinking about our lineup the other day, esp after Momo got injured. Was wondering who people think our our true world beaters?
Certainly Stevie, although Xabi has the ability to be world class (if not the consistency at the moment) apart from that I think we're a bit short. Fowler 11 yrs ago would defo have been. I think Momo could be but he is still very young. Kuyt looks hardworking but not quite world class.
Anyone care to comment?
Don't agree about Fowler. He never looked comfortable in internationals. A player can't really be considered world-class unless he's carried his club league form into the international arena.
At the end of the day, "world-class" is an abused term, bandied about far too readily. But I would suggest that, as I said above, they have to do it in internationals consistently. Gerrard has done so, Fowler never did.
