Europa League was fantastic last season because of Athletic Bilbao. Maybe, just maybe we can have a similar kind of impact.

I think that this competition every season provides ample entertainment and often trumps the CL in that facet. It isn't however prestigious nor do teams particularly take it seriously until the last couple of rounds. The new revamp hasn't particularly helped either and I suppose the lack of financial incentive ensures teams will probably continue to use it in the same manner.
