A nice positive. I don't think we should have expected much from this. My issue was when we brought on subs, we didn't take advantage of them. All the play kept going down the right when the fresh legs were on the left. Just seemed strange to me. It all seems to go through Suarez who only really passes to Gerrard when attacking the box and Gerrard only really passes to a Stoke player when attacking the box.

He was awful today, the ball to Johnson was stand out and IMO he was trying to get Johnson in behind, Johnson just read it well and made an opportunity.

clean sheet is good. in fact its time we had a run of clean sheets.

Sterling looked very lively second half and wisdom looked comfortable again. Thought Cole looked fitter than at any time he's been here. Looks like he must of been working hard in the gym/training. He could be a useful player in the coming weeks. Him Gerrard & Suarez could get a rythm going. As for not having any forwards, where would a finisher play in our system? Suarez would be wasted wide. So we are what we are.

Honestly, went into the game with the mindset that we had to win, but at the end of the day, it's Stoke. As much as I hate that football team, fair play to them, because they are good at the style of "football" they play. We are notoriously flat against them. We were lacklustre up front which is unusual given recent form but at least we've seemed to sort it out defensively. The back 4 were solid across the board today.

Feels like two points dropped but it's not the end of the world. Could've done with a victory but as ever, we're a "team in transition," rebuilding, etc.

What a ****e weekend for us. All the results are going against us as all the half decent teams have won. We play well but it's too easy to figure out what we are going to do. We play lovely stuff up to the penalty area, but if Suarez doesn't score no-one does. Stoke took all the yellow cards, as they know they are never going to concede from a set piece and we never score from one. It was too easy for them.

Gerrard was rubbish. He hit one great pass to Johnson, but its pointless if he can't make the 5 yard pass in the penalty area. We were clueless in the last 20 about how to break them down. If Joe Cole is the best we can do off the bench to trigger a goal then we are really screwed. How poor was he when he came on.

Agger and Sterling were excellent. The rest were one big meh. The Suarez chance in the second half was the one we needed to take.
