    Revolution

Anyone get the feeling this season we are seeing a revolution at the club, on and off the field?

If you look at the table in the league, the fact we didn't get a striker in the transfer window, that we are earning less than Spurs, Chelsea, United, Arsenal during matches and the fact we have not had Champs League football for years... all that would suggest the club is struggling on and off the field.

    However!

If you look we are making big progress in some very important aspects of the club:

    1) New manager who has a plan, a way of playing that if implemented correctly should be very successful. It is a plan which involves good football and reliant on the team, not individuals - which suits us as we can't afford the best players at the moment given the resources of other clubs.

    2) The development of youth. Wisdom, Sterling, Suso, Robinson... the list goes on and on. These players are going to save us millions over the years, are young enough and most importantly good enough to be moulded by Rodgers to suit this system. We are giving youth a chance and luckily for us they are good enough!

    3) The Hillsborough progress. The truth coming out and the justice hopefully going to follow.

    4) The stadium news. Most fans wanted to stay at Anfield and our owners have not only explored that option, they have persuaded the Council to come on board with it - which was not easy given how little they have co-operated in the past.

It seems to me the club is being run well and in Rodgers, Ayre and FSG we have the right people on and off the field all working together to get us back to where we want to be.

Everything isn't rosey, as we have seen with the DJ / Chang issue, the results so far this season amongst other things. But we are slowly getting our act together and I think in the future this season might be looked back at being a very important one in getting us back to where we want to be.

Revolutions can't instantly be successful. Often you need to take a few steps back before you can move forward. I think we will see that this season, as we probably won't have a high league position, the stadium isn't ready to start building and we don't have that justice yet.

But slowly but surely I think we have the right plan and right owners, CEO and manager to ensure we carry out that plan. Let's face it, if we didn't have a plan, we wouldn't get anywhere as we can't just sack managers each season, throwing money away and assuming things will come good!

This season might be ugly, but I think it could be the catalyst to a long term future on and off the field and then the evolution can occur with hopefully long term success.

I think 2,3 and 4 have been underway for a number of years.

But it's really good to see it all coming together.

Oh yes they have been underway, but as you say we are actually seeing progress now.

I should have mentioned signing up our existing key players to long term deals. Not many clubs in Europe would be able to keep players like Skrtel, Agger and Suarez or get them to sign long term deals with no Champs League football for years.

Also how we have cut the wage bill. Very few players in the squad are now over paid. Cole is one, but not many after that!

Trust in your teammates, trust in the fans and trust in yourselves. The consequence of that will be victory.

I am not sure it will be ugly. What I have seen so far this season has been littered with mistakes, granted. But ugly? I don't think I would call this season's football ugly. I've quite enjoyed it.

while its true that our style of play http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=81539 might be improving and showing some promise for the future and the resurgance of youth, we still need to be more clinical in front of goal.

looking at the wider issues at the club, we still seem to be a little lightweight in senior management. do the owners feel that they have it all covered with ayre
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Not saying the football will be ugly in terms of being attractive or entertaining.

I am meaning in terms of results and league position!
