BBC Sport Price of Football survey 2012

We have the most expensive 'cheapest ticket' in the league at £39

    Cheapest Season ticket
    Liverpool - £725
    United - £532
    City - £275

For the price of ours you could watch both Manchester clubs all season

    Worth every penny

It is possibly just the product of a smaller capacity, meaning we have to recover our costs over a smaller base than, say, United.

You'd hope that as capacity increases, then prices would fall bit I have a feeling that, given the length of the waiting list, the owners will have extrapolated the current prices over a larger capacity to derive our earning potential after expansion.

          City's are very low. Surprising.
          Are we winning?

What it doesn't really show is that LFC has a very flat pricing structure compared to others in the league.

I wonder how many "cheap" tickets are actually available each match at the top teams? I'd hazard a guess it isn't many.

I dont know if this is on topic really, but I got an email for Football365 the other day offering hospitality tickets for the game vs Reading for £45 each. Which seems cheap, especially considering you get a Prawn Sandwich and a Programme.

I thought Kop tickets are still one of the cheapest in the league, no?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                          No chance:

@danroan Ian Ayre: "We are not looking at reducing ticket prices, that is unrealistic unfortunately. It's not because nobody wants to."
                          Oh I don't know.

I think it does show that, the thing is you have to look for it, we have one of the most expensive 'cheapest' but we are in the middle for the most expensive tickets - cheaper than all the other big clubs. It's just something that doesn't get discussed.

I suspect that our pricing structure is so flat because the ground is quite small and most seats have a similar view. I suspect that when we upgrade Anfield the pricing structure will change. I think this is something that FSG have started doing anyway, but people were unhappy with some of the issue that changing the price structure causes.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Don't think that's in the clubs plans tbh, infact i believe Mr Ayre put that one to bed when talking the other day about the re-development, think he said something like we can't afford to do it if we want to reap the benefits of extra capacity.
