It's the trio of him, Sahin and Gerrard that haven't got going. We are doing pretty well, but mainly when we go round them.Originally posted by Rich View PostShelvey hasn't really been in the game. Our midfield doesnt look right to me.
Shelvey hasnt done anything at all and every time gerrard goes into the final third he ends up giving the ball away.
I know why rodgers doesnt fancy stevie at the tip of the midfield. Its because he tries too many first time passes which end up going all over the place. But shelvey in that position hasnt contributed a lot.
Sahin looks good on the ball but not quite as good without it. Assaidi has been very very lively and he looks a constant threat but we need more.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

It's still too quiet mate. Has been since about the 10th minute and that's being a bit generous, we still need to win this game and we've put out a strong side.Originally posted by Boogar View Post**** all their to get excited about. Final 3rd yet again. I can see them latching on to a dreadful back pass and taking a win.Vive la France

Indeed.
On the topic of Shelvey - I thought his movement has looked good off the ball. I'm not sure him off Suarez gets the best out of either of them though. They both get the ball in the hole and have no one either ahead of them or running off them - made worse by Assaidi and Downing staying wide when not on the ball."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Suarez with moments of brilliance...sometimes tried to do a bit too much but made up for it with tracking back & helping others out. Confident we can score a goal...hopefully Assaidi gets it
