CAPITAL ONE CUP - FOURTH ROUND
    Liverpool v Swansea 20:00

    I'd go:

Reina (if fit, give him a game before the serious stuff again - if not, Jones)

    Flanagan
    Coates
    Carragher
    Robinson

    Henderson
    Shelvey
    Suso

    Assaidi
    Yesil
    Downing
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'd definitely start Yesil too. Maybe Morgan or Sinclair (or Ngoo) on the bench.

Maybe throw McLauchlin (sp?) in instead of Flanagan.

Also agree on Flanaghan, some might think this is harsh but I'd move him on, I just don't quite think he's got what it takes to make it with us.

He is proper well down the pecking order. GJ>AW>MK>

He seems like a really good lad too, but a bit like Spearing, I just don't think he has the quality to play for a top Premier League team.

He is down the pecking order big time but he's still only 19 so it seems premature to be writing him off.

I only picked him as Glen is injured, Kelly is injured and Wisdom will need a break. So it's him or McLaughlin.

                    Flanaghan for me lacks concentration

I'd go with McLaughlin then as he seems to me to be a real exciting talent.

Wisdom definitely needs a break, I think he's going to be a good player for us, but he struggled big time up against Mirallas.

                          I'd go with

                          Pepe (if fit)
                          Flanagan Carra Coates Robinson
                          Shelvey Henderson
                          Suso
                          Downing Yesil Assaidi.

Play Reina ahead of the w/e's PL game.
Suso needs to play at the point of the 3, for all his technique and skill he has actually produced nothing of note for a few games now. I think he'll be very good but his football is about creating or scoring and he hasn't done either.

If Assaidi plays well vs Swansea then I'd keep him in at the w/e ahead of Suso.

Edit - Posted this without reading the earlier posts and now realise it's exactly the same team Shaggy picked.
So to summerize - I'd play the same team that Shaggy posted earlier
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

He's been injured himself otherwise he would have played IMO. I think Rodgers likes him actually.

I think he's better than Kelly (at RB) personally.

That is common with young defenders though, no? I think we need to get a sensible loan program going for some of our young players.
