We lack depth. I think our first team will be strong enough with a few more players but that doesn't sort out the matter of who we call on when our first team are tired. Downing, Cole, Henderson and Carragher all need to be coming towards their last games for the club. Theres no two ways about it.

Off the top of my head we've lost 4 games at home already (conceding 3 v Swansea & Udinese), and won only two games - Reading and Anzhi, both 1-0. That is wank.

i agree, but that being said, that's the cup i'd prefer to lose in.

Lack of precision in front of goal, lack of technique in the second string of players (Downing, Henderson, Cole, et alii), clearly no understanding of how to break down a bus in front of the goal - as well as a St.Gerrard, who thinks his Hollywood-balls are Gods gift to Suarez (whereas Michu and Hernandez did far better in a simple way).

Just pay off Cole and tell him to leave. I wouldn't even want him training with the reserve team and certainly not at the Academy.

The good thing is that everyone knows who shouldn't be at the club, including the manager. He's not persisting with players who aren't good enough, or at least he won't when he can do something about it. Right direction, but we still have a number of players who aren't up to it and lack a striker or two.
