For me, this was a game where the transfer **** up at the end of the summer has probably cost us points. Lots of decent positions, nobody in the box.

The goal by Suarez was amazing.

The performance by Sahin was not - based on his performances so far I do not rate him one bit

Stolen from the match day thread

Frustrating is the keyword, after we equalised we looked sure to win. I think Colocini's red card actually hurt our chances as Newcastle packed the bus after that rather than looking to counter which they were doing even after we scored.

Shelvey missed 2 sitters but did play well, very composed on the ball for a young lad

Dominated the game with a lot of players not performing to well.

How many of us sighed when Downing was coming on? ****ING HELL we need options badly!

Sterling did well again, needs to improve his end product, took an eternity to get a shot off when Suarez played him in.

                  Without Suarez, we'd be ****ed.

Enrique was very poor today, what has happened to him, he looked very good at the start of last season, but for about a year now he's been a liability

we have a lot of the ball and rarely have any clue how to score a goal. I can't think of a team that is so clueless as us. Take Luis out and there's nothing.

When Shelvey arrived he used to run like he was stuck in treacle, he then learnt to run properly and since the England game he's in treacle again! WTF?

Was it Downing that put that cross in for Shelvey? He may not be great, but I think in our current position we need some experience in the team.

don't think there's been any progression between rodgers and dalglish's reign

We just needed composure in the last 15 minutes. The crowd was urging us on and we tried to play far too quickly. We're getting there though. Cut off the silly mistakes, then we'll be very very good IMO.
                              Are we winning?

I love those moments when you will look back and go, "****, remember that goal when..."

We got that today from Luis.

Really frustrating other than that. Love the effort and industry from both Suarez and Sterling. I think this game highlighted where we need to spend the money.

Allen was poor again - out of position, struggled and needs a rest, but we have NO defensive midfield cover.
