On Sahin - why are we playing him so far forward? He should be in the centre circle, dictating things and making runs from there. Seemed to be the one getting closest to Suarez today and he's wasted there. Get him deeper, and - if he must stay in the team - get Gerrard up and around Suarez.

I'm not sure Gerrard is up to it now. He looks to be conserving energy for long periods. Probably better to use him further forward until he's shagged and then sub him.

Gerrard will probably be moved to the right when Lucas comes back, and Sterling will get some rest.

Very impressive performance. I was expecting us to score zero goals today however was hoping to dominate possesion (until we bring in a finisher in January). Really happy to see we did dominate and a bit of Suarez magic to add to my enthralment.

Sterling has all of this season to start adding a world class end product to his world class potential. No rush for him and there shouldn't be any rush from the fans either .

Downing chickened out of a 70/30 in his favour challenge, and then later chickened out of a header for a floated ball on to his head because he thought the defender would clatter him. Had he attempted the header we could have kept the ball in the danger zone for longer. Sterling has more guts in his little toe than Downing has in his whole body.

Decent enough performance without any help for Suarez as usual. Why oh why did Downing come on ahead of Assaidi? Enrique wasn't our worst player.
Here's where I'm gonna get crucified - Allen should've come off for Shelvey as he is as good as Henderson imo & when Lucas is back Allen should be dropped to the bench.
There I said it - let the swearing/pillars of abuse begin...

IMO it wouldnt be bold or brave - it would make sense. sahin looking a real threat, allen further up the pitch would help out with his eye for a cutting pass and lucas would shore us up defensively. a frustrated gerrard coming off the bench would be a frightening thought for oppo teams.
