Thanjk you.

It is becoming more and more obvious that Rodgers is not a fan of Coates.
If he cannot get to play against Young Boys at home and we would rather risk of having Skrtel injured I think it says all.
I wouldn't be surprised if we put him on the selling block in the summer.
A real shame that is if its true, because Coates does look like he can become a very good CB for us. Probably the hardest position on the pitch to come on in flashes and try to impress or play to a high standard, but I think he has shown enough to merit further opportunities.

Selling block?
But yes it's clear he doesn't rate him. I'm not sure Kenny rated him that highly either.
It wouldn't surprise me if he goes in the summer, but I'm a little concerned about who we'd target to replace him to be honest. As I said earlier, I'm not a huge fan, but the potential is there, and we might be wise to be a little more patient with him if we can afford it. Some CBs do mature very late.

Same here. He was teh young player of Copa America just year and half ago and was never given any real opportunities to stake his claim at CB position.
Playing for Uruguay is very important to him and he'll not have a chance to do so if he stays with us.

There is absolutely no reason to play Carra ahead of him. None.
I'm afraid that Rodgers had already decided that he is just not suited for his system, which is very unfortunate.
I think this kid can play but needs a streak of games, which I don't think he'll get coz as it stands he is 4th choice CB
while there is a chance of winning this game and moving on in this competition it would be foolish of brendan to even consider playing cole [or even having him on the bench] while there are better alternatives from the young lads and even the tea lady, faah faahks sahyk

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He played alright in Russia. Made some good runs. Laid off a couple of nice balls too. He's regaining match fitness, something no one seems to give any credence to these days. But its an important factor when judging a player who hasn't played much.
