Our Champions league group is the weakest in the competition.
And I would've taken Arsenal at home before the draw, let's face it, Spurs, Charlton and Newcastle will play first choice sides, Arsenal will play their kids.
At Anfield, if we play a strong side, near first choice, we should win.

I'd say AC Milan's group is easier. Lille, AEK, and Anderlecht are complete ****e. I agree with your comments on Arsenal though. The QF is a good time to play them.
shold be an entertaining game anyway.
Have a feeling we will meet them or the mancs at some stage in the champions league aswell.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I'm not complaining, we've had the gooners number for years at Anfield. Our squad is stronger and deeper than theirs. So if RAFA plays a mixture of experience and youth we'll batter them.
I think we can handle this one. Glad its at home. Drawing Arsenal now means we'll have a 2/3 chance of an easier draw in the semis, where everyone actually starts to take this competition seriously. We'll beat them, its all good.....

No mate it's not a joke -
So far in the carling cup we've played a prem side, an ex-prem side who will be again and now one of the best sides in the prem, and if we win probably followed by a double header v Chelsea in the semi's.
Champions league at this stage you aren't exactly going to get a hard draw but PSV and Galatasary aren't exactly pushovers.
Point being Chelsea get the likes of Newcastle and we get Arsenal, and there's no guarantee Wenger will play the kids, in fact I'd be very surprised if he did.
