I maybe be wrong here, but under Kenny we drew the majority of games from winning positions and under BR we seem to draw the majority form similar or losing positions [city, everton etc]. Not sure it means muchOriginally posted by clanhuman View PostWe are far more solid this year. Like someone said all these draws could easily have been losses last season. Its a good foundation. Just means once we get the attacking side of things right we are going to be a good side. Get Lucas and Allen working hard in the centre and we'll be even more solid as a unit. I think we are better off this season. Much more of a team that knows their individual roles than a team who have just been told to get out there and play football. (No offence to Dalglish)

As someone mentioned that QPR game haunts me. When we lost 4-2 I think it was? Coates scored a belter but the way we just absolutely collapsed in that game, I really don't expect to see that with Rodgers. Could be wrong though...time will tell.Originally posted by Baracus View PostI maybe be wrong here, but under Kenny we drew the majority of games from winning positions and under BR we seem to draw the majority form similar or losing positions [city, everton etc]. Nope - just make sure they're playing centrally...Originally posted by clanhuman View Post
Can you make sure Joe Cole and Downing are playing when you do? OK... I may have gone too far. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

No, you said numerous times that if a big offer came in that it would be a good idea to take the money because Suarez is a **** striker.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI never actually said I wanted us to sell Suarez
I just said I believed if a big enough offer came in they (FSG) would
Do you still hold that opinion Lec ?Last edited by ~LFCHistory~; 27-11-12, 02:58 PM.

This is our attacking unit right now :
Suarez
17 year old kid with 3 months PL experience
A dodgy left back
19 year old kid with 2 months PL experience
Assaidi
No wonder we're struggling, I didn't include Cole or Downing on that list for obvious reasons.

Everybody has a price and I would still sell today if the fee was large enoughOriginally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View PostAnd did you or did you not say that you would be in favour of selling Suarez ?
That doesnt mean I think he is a "**** striker" as you put it, I will freely admit I thought his finishing was wayward to say the least last season but hes picked that up a lot
Oh and I wasnt the only one who suggested they would sell if a large enough fee came in but again that doesnt mean we think he is "a **** striker"Last edited by Lecter; 27-11-12, 03:26 PM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. If we sell Suarez before we get back into the top 4, then imo it will hinder us, we'll be very lucky to find and sign a player as good.
Count ourselves lucky we have him i say, and hope that with the right signings he can fire us up to 4th by the end of next season at the least, maybe earlier if we get lucky and our winning form becomes consistent.

So for the right price you think it would be a good idea to sell him ? Excellent. Glad we've cleared that up.Originally posted by Lecter View PostEverybody has a price and I would still sell today if the fee was large enough

I'm sure we would have no trouble replacing him with a superior player, after all we successfully replaced Alsonso, Masch, Torres and Meireles. Great idea Lec. Genius.

£40 million? £50 million, £60 million, £70 million??
I think its obvious his value has increased and like all transfers it would be dependant on many factors
Such as whether the player wants to go or not (and forgive me I'm sceptical when players pledge their loyalty - once bitten and all that)
Who is available to replace him
Who is spending the money (I wouldnt trust Dalglish with that and even Rodgers I'd be hesitant to trust)Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
