I can see the reasoning behind playing Downing LB at home against the 'lesser' clubs, but away from home and/or against a bigger side it seems like suicide

I think this could be a very open game; Spurs are affording us plenty of space.

We also started quite well, but the goal is a sucker blow, obv. Nobody got on Bale and Downing was asleep.

Its a weird one from the manager alright. Spurs get wobbly if they dont score so losing an early goal is very frustrating
