I hope he is so he can continue to prove people wrong. He's a decent young player, his decision making at times is pants but he's got a bright future.

I can sort of see why - he makes silly mistakes, reminds me of Rio Ferdinand when he was at West Ham. More likely to let the ball bounce or not just it properly.

He has only had a short run in the side, IMO although he has looked good in the air, he is very slow, bit cumbersome and has been exposed glaringly a few times. Not mobile enough for the premier league IMO.

He is somewhat unlucky about the Agger/Skrtel partnership so feel for him on that one, but sure if we can get a good fee for him don't think i'd be too bothered about Coates leaving....... more so concerned about Suarez missing his mate and pissing off!

Doubt that future is here though. Don't forget BR was more than happy to let him go to Fulham as part of the Clint deal, so I do not expect him to survive here beyond January or Summer at the very latest.

Coates needs a run of games for us to see what he's like, but maybe the management have already made their decision.

Henderson is a wimp, but there's a good footballer in there. Against Southampton he made a run wide, when if he'd have run straight Sterling could have played him in on goal. Looks scared of taking responsibility further up the pitch at the moment, but looks more confident as the anchor man i've thought.

Very true. And still does now and then.

Coates could definitely do with a run of games - as could Henderson - hence why staying in the cups for as long as possible is a big plus as they should be the games where they're nailed on to play.

Henderson needs a run of games in his correct position, Kenny shoved him out wide for most of the season. He had some BIG games when he was played in the centre - most notably against Chelsea and City.

Totally unnecessary predicament. Rodgers cocked up big style in last group game at Anfield. He should have fielded a full strength side from the off-got the win and put the group to bed. All our best players could then be sitting at home tonight watching the match on the Telly. This was a no brainer decision and he got he badly wrong. As it was he had to bring on from the bench all the players he was trying to rest that night to try to save the game. Chump management as opposed to Championship management.Not impressed. Down to him if we go out tonight. Only ray of sunshine is Suarez suspension which allows him to play tonight
