very pleased to see a decent performance and some gaols to show for it. even though this was against poor opposition it might give the team some heart and make them have some more strength against other teams.
enrique, gerrard and johnson were the main players for me. even a mention for downing!removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

This games really made the Villa result hurt more for me, I hope this season doesn't turn into another one full of If's and But's.
Really good performance from everyone today.. Shelvey and Suso were our quietest players and Downing was fantastic, although I gave my MOTM vote to Enrique who is flying!
Some strange decisions from Rodgers I thought, Allen and Sterling being rested.. Sooo why bring them on when the games over if they need a rest?? and Carragher coming on for Lucas when Sahin is sitting there?
Hopefully we can push on 4 points from our next 2 games would be a good return!Vive la France

I think the game against Villa was a result of fatigue. Not often have we been overturned that easily.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostThis games really made the Villa result hurt more for me, I hope this season doesn't turn into another one full of If's and But's.

I try to take encouragement from Tottenham dropping home points against Norwich and Aston Villa, Arsenal against Swansea, Fulham and Sunderland. All were home games for the teams in question.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostThis games really made the Villa result hurt more for me, I hope this season doesn't turn into another one full of If's and But's.

We just need to focus on getting maximum points in our next two games if possible.
Agree about Allen and Sterling, although Sahin has just come back from a nose operation. Maybe Henderson perhaps. The strange one is Coates and Assaidi going missing.

I guess at 3-0 anyone coming on won't have to do too much. Perhaps some players are better off/less stressed or keyed up if they get a gentle run out.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostThis games really made the Villa result hurt more for me, I hope this season doesn't turn into another one full of If's and But's.

You wonder how much training Sahin has been doing with his broken face. He wasn't really looking perfectly tuned before the injury. I agree though that if he's fit enough to be on the bench (and to be taking a position that could go to a forward for example) you would think he would be ready to play. You have to assume that there is a reason we aren't aware of for the choice."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Positives: loads, even Downing.
Hopefully can get us 12-15 million in a transfer window if he keeps this up. Otherwise, we'll keep him.
Negatives (minor): Shelvey and Suso, really not wanting to grasp these chances before Ince, Sturridge, Assaidi (from injury) make it even harder for them to state their cases. One tit for another.

I forgot about Sahin doing his nose in lads, so I suppose that one makes sense and my nan of all people pointed out that Sterling came on as a side show, her words
meaning he'd just signed his new contract and it gave him a chance to be cheered by the fans.
I wish I was as positive as some of you
I can't help but think back to the Everton game, even now and thinking "****in ******* linesman"
