Rodgers doesn't seem to have any idea about defending. I can barely remember seeing any team so susceptible to the counter attack. Practically every time we lose the ball it's panic stations. I think he's naive. Am I allowed to say I don't think he's good enough to take us where we wanna go? Yes he deserves time to build something but I have little faith that he's up to the job. He's not even getting the basics right.

Roy Evans comes to mind. When it clicks it clicks well else it's horrible to endure

I disagree that there's nothing to worry about. Yeah, I porbably expect us to beat QPR now and steady the ship for another week but what about the week after? There's been something intrisically wrong with the club for a while now.

I don't know about Sturridge but I don't think our problems are defensive. Incisiveness and being clinical are though, which is why he's targeting attacking players.

Well scoring more takes a lot of pressure off, we do need another holding midfielder.

Pretty much bang on that mate. I like rodgers and he deserves the time to build something but noy at the cost of the club. Maybe if things had progressed by now we would feel better but i see nothing in our team to suggest that sacking kenny for rodgers was the right thing too do.

Kenny had too go but he shouldn't have been replaced by rodgers.

Suarez and Enrique aside we bottled that. Gutless performance, no heart, no passion and no quality.

Shelvey and suso aren't ready for the first team, not by long shot. Gerrard gets another goal but puts in another shocker. Agger and Johnson worse games of season. Felt sorry for suarez, he literally gives everything for lfc.

Others players should hang their heads in shame.

Agree with all that tbh. That said.....

First half, we were okay. Slip by Skrtel and Goal from a corner. We created plenty and looked fairly lively. Then they score early and we give up really.

Shocking in the second half because we showed no fight. When Man Utd go down they roll up their sleeves. They may lose, but they create chance after chance and go down fighting.

That comes from belief. Be honest, we all knew we'd lost at 3-1. Manc fans think the opposite. Same applies to the players.

Hopefully with some new attacking players we'll get some goals flowing and our team will actually think we can come back from a deficit.

Totally agree, our defensive frailties have been obvious from the beginning of his reign, yet nothing seems to have changed tactically to sort this out.

As a minimum make us difficult to beat, imo Rodgers is out of his depth.

really poor today. there is so much wrong with our approach it is truly infuriating. whilst it is clear we want to play a passing game we have reverted back to standing still like statues and not offering an easy pass to the man on the ball with stoke pressing so high up the pitch at times with a bit of effort and skill there should have been plenty of space to exploit. basics

playing suso away at stoke was a dumb decision. i mean really brendan come on.

i know we rate skrtel and agger highly on here but why cant either of them deal with basic players such as carlton cole and kenwyne jones?

gerrard offers little currently. he is our best ever player for me but he needs to adapt his game as he is no longer the dynamic individual he once was

Dire football. Players are not an acceptable excuse. There was zero evidence of our supposed new way of playing. Passing was slow and inaccurate, movement was lazy, pressing was lazy. That looked indistinguishable from a Hodgson Liverpool approach. After half a season, that is not good enough. I like our manager and am happy that he will be given plenty of time but he definitely needs to hls game because we were better under Kenny.

Worse than the villa defeat. This team will finish in about 12th place this season and the owners will spoon feed the fans bull**** about "a new project and time"

I wouldn't be so sure about that. We spunked a 2 goal lead away against them last season and with this team we have i think it will be a very hard game.
