There's nothing innovative to speak of that we could be positive about. If we were drawing most games you could justifiably say that forward players would make a big difference.

We're getting out battled and out thought in most matches and we've lost the appetite for the fight.
Strange, as in most games I feel we have the appetite but not the finish. So his philosophy is doing what he expects but his players are not (finishing). A change of personnel is required not a change of philosophy.

Stoke was a one off. I was ****ting my pants just watching the game so imagine what two 18 year olds were thinking playing in it.

We're getting out battled in midfield because of tactical errors. Ie against stoke one defensive midfield against their midfield five. Why not just play Henderson with Lucas to stiffen the midfield.

We're getting out thought by opposing managers who know that we're only going to play one way. We don't turn opposition defences around and everything is in front.

By pressing us higher up the pitch they make us make mistakes and give the ball away.

It's easy to see what our gameplan is so there's nothing to surprise the opposition with.

We're obvious in everything we do. That's Rodgers fault.

Stoke has one game plan as well but is it easy to play against them all the time? No.
        Are we winning?

Because Henderson is **** and doesn't make tackles.

And we lack quality in midfield and we know that

Undone again by a couple of poor errors to let them go 2-1 up we didn't show nearly enough urgency to get back into the game and I don't think we have the fitness levels needed to play games this close together.

January transfers really need to make an instant impact to the side for this season but I'm afraid we'll see more of these types of results this season as the squad isn't good enough and it's going to take time to change that. Is Rodgers the right man ? Dunno but we have to give him time now

It's ****ing ****e, and yes you're right. We will be spoon fed the same old ****ing nonsense come the end of the season.

Nigel - I don't want to have a pop as it's Christmas mate but that was poor, you can understand why we are so frustrated as fans. You clearly have a more positive/different way of looking at things but take some time out and think about that in the morning, we were and are ****ing **** mate.

Stoke we better than us and they deserved it, every team that plays us is better than us and deserve it at the end of the day.

Tonight they played with more power and pace than we did, had better fitness and movement, more game intelligence bar Suarez who deserves a lot better than to be playing for us, we're going to end up losing him and then we're truly ****ed. You could see the anguish on his face tonight, the frustration, the pain.

We lost tonight and that's down to the players mentality and bad management and that is why Rodgers will not take us forward as a club. We're not good enough and we haven't been for years. Our biggest rivals win game after game because they have a completely different mentality to us and far better players, they play as a team and play to win.

We're falling behind all the time, sick to ****ing death of it. We deserve better FFS we're Liverpool Football Club not some ****ing chumps, the travelling fans deserve better, people spend a lot of money going to watch this ****.

                  ****ing pissed off.

Aye, I reckon another 3 transfer windows before he gets his team ready.

Henderson is **** & Shelvey is nowhere near ready for LFC first team. Rogers has shown too much faith in him.

I think people let the defeat get to them too much, we are a long way off the squad we want right now and we need to accept that as fans and acknowledge we will lose more games than we would like right now.
Most reasoned post of the day. I was fuming earlier and had to go for a walk to calm down. It's all very disappointing but we need to not get too carried away by the losses and wins and see where January gets us.

Matt has a point but we dont have the resources to completely overhaul the squad. We need someone who can work with what he's got instead of always looking to bring in the final piece in the puzzle.

Idealists can't work unless they have achieved their ideal squad, players. How can we possibly do that with limited resources.

The reason why we are buying young players is so we can build over a number of years. The right way to do it and Rodgers is the right man to do it. All we need is a little patience.

At the moment only the following deserves their places in the first team.

                              Agger, skrtel, Johnson,
Lucas (even though he's not back to full fitness), Enrique (playing left wing), Suarez

Gerrard and Reina have been poor this season and we need to be planning without them.

Allen is probably good enough, but he has been wank of late, and rightly dropped.

Cole, Downing, Henderson are not good enough. They have the odd good game but are too inconsistent.

Suso, Sterling, shelvey are not good enough to be trusted with a regular first team place yet. At best they should be used off the bench or in the Cups.

We need a young keeper, another dominating centre half, a left back. A world class midfielder, a world class winger, a world class striker. Not sure if Ince or Sturridge fit the bill tbh.

                              It's up to FSG now.
