I haven't seen much of QPR but from what little I know we really ought to be able to do all right against them.

How come we're playing two away games in a row? Man City the same. Yet Everton and Man United don't have to travel between Christmas and New Year. Maybe it's a quirk of the fixture list - someone has to play two home games, and someone has to play two away games - but it's a pain for the supporters and seems to give an advantage to some over others.
Should be able to shut him down and may well do but I just get the feeling he is a player who can cause us problems at the moment.

Famous last words of course but I'd have thought he's the opposite to that. He's not a bully, he's not quick and he doesn't play right up against our defenders. Instead he plays in the hole (where Lucas is), he's clever but not especially strong (so Lucas should be able to handle him) and he won't get time (because Lucas is better than he is).

All that assumes Lucas will play anything like his best which may be a bit much to demand from him at this stage.

I'm sure Redknapp won't be slow to realise Liverpool "don't like it up 'em" but that's been obviously true for years now.

Defending set pieces is a perennial problem for us - I don't know, have they got anyone decent?
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Maybe we'll shore up at the back as an experiment. More defensive minded players, less attacking. Something needs to change. I've always wanted to see Agger playing a defensive midfield role myself. Lucas and Agger in DM and Coates and Skrtel. I know it sounds weird but could work. Meh.

QPR are toothless. If we fail to win this we might as well give up

After that its Sunderland which is another must win. We need 6 points from these two

We lost a 2 goal lead at their place last season IIRC. Can see them turning us over TBH and ramping up the pressure on Rodgers.

Is there a thread on here somewhere about bars that show televised matches in far foreign lands?

And would have shipped a further 3 in the first fifteen minutes if Suarez and Shelvey started remembering how to shoot and where the net was.

xMas 2011. Roy gets beat at Blackburn. That would be a new low point.

I can't even see us drawing a game anymore we are that bad defensively. Its win or lose. And to win we need more then 2 goals such is our fragile and pathetic mentality and defense.

Remember when we use to go into games expecting the win. Now its more hope of nicking a win. Sad times for our club.

Got a greedier Sturridge in now. Let's hope its not the story of the remainder of the season. Anyone's better than Shelvey for a start. Once the goals start going in, as they should from our overpaid strikers, then we'll be lauding Rodgers fantastic tactics instead of bemoaning it.
