We'd dragged QPR all over the park in the first half and had built up a comfortable lead; it was inevitable that QPR would give a better second half performance - they just had to! All we had to do was nullify that threat and whilst it wasn't pretty, it was effective and as the clock counted down, it's given us the opportunity to ease off during a hectic festive period.

I'd love us to tonk a team 8-0, but after our non-performance against Stoke and the negativity in the build up thread, I'd have taken a scrappy win. Three first half goals and a clean sheet and I'm happy.

Good win and great first half. Second half QPR were always going to come out fighting after being so **** in the first half.

First 30 were sensational but once they went to 3 at the back we didn't look anywhere near as threatening.

The second half was disappointing because we've seen that Liverpool too many times this season. We sat too deep and allowed them to dominate us.

nevertheless a win is a win.

Personal glory for an individual is not as important as the result. We might have pushed a 4th, but equally we could have collapsed like last year against them. We are on a knife edge with out performances at the moment and the 3 points had to come first.
