Oh yeah - absolutely brilliant Jordan Henderson. Love that guy's attitude - just wish he had more belief. Definitely a player in there.

That's how the West Ham game felt after losing to Villa. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

missed the first half hour. but although professional, that second half sums us up for me. when hurried and pressured we give the ball away for fun. we had numerous chances to create more goals yet every single time without fail whether it was sterling, luis, johnson, gerrard, we made the wrong one. its frustrating. it doesn't matter as the game was won, but we carry this type of casualness about our game way too often. we are soft as. no steel whatsoever throughout the team. that is from keeper to forward, the spine isn't strong enough. anyway, 3 points and a good result to round off a weird year. here's to the new boys whoever they are making a difference.Always borrow money from a pessimist. Yep - 15 minutes where they were the better team and our midfield went for a bit of a wander. They didn't even 'dominate' that 15 minutes though. To say so is laughable.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostIn defense of El Matador I think he's referring to the period around the 55th minute to the 70th.. They got on top, we got sloppy and it resulted into them having a fair few chances, well shot anyway.
It's not a slight against the team today because every side in this league will have a period of the game where they look dangerous.Oh I don't know.

I think there's a player in there, I think his problem is consistency.Originally posted by Marina View PostI dunno. I've always liked Hendo. We are in a minority. Most people just don't think he's that good.Originally posted by Marina View PostI dunno. I've always liked Hendo. I'm probably in the minority but I hope we keep him.Oh I don't know.

It's not them I'm scared off, it's the Stokes, Evertons(these are the best at what they do) of the premier league, high intensity and/or aggressiveness with a target frontman, at the moment I feel the squad doesnt know how to play against them if they do what they do best against usOriginally posted by Marina View PostI just realised we have Arsenal, City, and United . away between now and the beginning of Feb.
I will probably not be watching much footbfrontmanll in the next month. Scared.RIP IRWT

He reminds me a little of Alonso in his style of play and general gait, but without the ability to make the long raking passes.Originally posted by Marina View PostI think part of me has always liked him because he's somewhat handsome. So there's that.
BUT I genuinely think he's a generally industrious, efficient player. He is too quiet far too often but he's seemingly got a great deal of technique, too.Oh I don't know.

It's a Yorkshire colloquialism (I think), but I have no idea where it originated from.Originally posted by Charly View PostBadly?
I have to admit I have never heard someone described as such when ill. Or did you just make it up? I guess you can shove "ly" on to the end of any word... roughly, wankly, pooply, guffly, buggeredly...
