He definitely seems to have removed that silly selfish streak he had in him and playing with a real "team player" ethic. And he seems to have a lot of respect for Suarez. His passing is quite crisp too.

Yeah my fear before he joined was that he's been a hogger but so far it's looking promising - albeit early days.

Nowhere near as selfish as I thought he would be. So far do good and long may his form continue!

I wonder if he was more selfish at other clubs becuase of the cnuts he played with?

ie Torres and Drogba not exactly team players.

Really think these 2 could form something special, seem to compliment each other very well.

I think that's a bit unfair on both Torres and Drogba, red g. Both were hungry for goals and played in that style, but they were not the type to spurn passes. Drogba in particular put in a huge amount of work for the team, acting as a target man, providing flick ons or holding the ball up until others joined the attack.

I loved the fact that his celebration "dance" got a cheer today! Here's to hoping we see a lot more of it.

I know that other fans will think he's a knob when he does it but who cares?

I was going to post something along those line

I think he probably geniunely thought he was better than Torres particularly as Torres was not scoring but yet was being played ahead of him.

jordan's passing wasn't too shabby either

Certainly started his career at LFC in the best possible fashion.

Just having someone else who knows where the flipping goal is, well it is a result. But it kind of shows what a huge mess up the summer was.

I wonder what was wrong with the deal for Sturridge in the summer?

I was against his signing when we were linked to him. I was totally wrong.

One of the things I was most surprised about him is his hold up play. The ball seems to stick to him. His control of awkward and difficult clearances were very very good.

He is greedy but the right type of greedy.

It just feels weird watching someone who is playing ahead/in front of Suarez! For so long (2 seasons or so) Suarez has always been left isolated.

Wasn't too fussed when we were linked and i also said i didn't want him due to his attitude.

After seeing him at the game today watching his movement and gameplay. I was wrong. Hes going to be great for us and is a fantastic signing.

He is a little greedy. No doubt about it. But all strikers are. As long as he's not trying ridiculous shots when someone's on for a tap in though, I'll not mind.

It's all good trying difficult shots when hammering minnows, but try a silly shot in a tight game when a players on for a tap in and he would annoy.

But that's all what ifs at present. I think he has played as a team player thus far and I'm confident he'll be a big hit.

I was really 50/50 on Sturridge. Clearly he's a good player but I had some niggling doubts.

Great start so far. Really impressed with him both on and off the field.
