This lad is ****ing amazing. Dont see why he cant be one of the best in the world. His goal to games ratio when he plays regularly is ridiculous and he has so much ability to cause chaos even if he isnt scoring.

Always backed him the moment we were linked with him. The bizarre notion that he had an attitude was based on unsubstantiated rumours, something which is creeping into football nowadays.

He shone in Andre Villas-Boas' 4-3-3 system on the right flank. He had energy, directness in his play and always had the opposition on the back foot. He also had a knack of ghosting in at the far post unmarked.

Now he's shining in a more fluid system whereby he had Coutinho and Suarez last season, and today, he had the first and Aspas to feed off. Long may it continue.

With Sturridge in the side we no longer have to fear the absence of Suarez. I don't think there's a bigger accolade he deserves.

When we signed him I knew he could score goals but I had no idea how skillful he was.

He was excellent today. He's swift footed, speedy, balanced and clinical when he needs to be. Sure he carries the ball a bit too much at times, but he is an absolute steal for the money. There aren't many better attacking focal points in the Premier League.

I think the coaching staff have to take some credit here too - but he is definitely rising to the occasion and expectation.
