Well so far he has been the total opposite of what I thought he would be. Not greedy, not a poor finisher and certainly has completely proven me wrong. Looking to be a very astute signing and credit to BR is due.

Or maybe he had an attitiude because he couldn't get a game over that second rate past it striker they paid a fortune for.

He would have every right to be pissed off.

I think I said this earlier in the thread but I don't think I've ever been as wrong as I was about Sturridge. I wasn't excited about signing him at all, I was convinced he was crap.

What a signing he's been, already an integral part of the team. I've never been more happy to be wrong!

              Still early days for me.

Seriously though, after the way things have gone for this club in recent years, i'm scared to call any player a success after so few games.

Even when it seems to be staring me in the face.

But, he has been superb hasn't he, really intelligent, confident, sees a pass and holds up the ball, even scores goals.

More like him on this form and we won't go far wrong.

I guess I got used to Torres who when he wasn't scoring (which to be fair to him, wasn't often), wasn't really doing very much for the team. It's very nice to see that we've now got 2 strikers capable of linking up play and tracking back when needs be.

Please God let Suarez give us another season to see where we're truly heading.

With the right signings in the summer, and if Coutihno proves to be an asset till then along with Sturridge, we can then look at getting rid of the inconsistent players we have, adding that money to what we have to spend, and really set about building a true Liverpool 1st team.

Must get the next signings right.

He was utterly outstanding against Swansea. He could and probably should have had a hattrick. He doesn't look laboured in possession at all.

That's 7 games, 5 goals ad 2 assists. Unfortunately the dummy he did for the Suarez goal against doesn't count as an assist!

am i the only one, but i noticed he didn't celebrate suarez goal. tbh, he (duarez) was kinda selfish there, although it was good goal

He didn't. The both are them are greedy ****s although Sturridge is nowhere near as greedy Suarez.

I thought he did the dance yesterday! I missed the dance as the relay of the penalty was being shown.

He tucked that pen away in a very composed fashion.

Be nice to have a decent penalty taker as a back up to Stevie, how many did we miss last season?
