Changing a winning side especially one that's on this form could screw with the balance and confidence of the side.

That's my concern as well.

We'll see what happens over next few weeks but if do continue with current form and good results I'm not so sure that we should be making any changes atm.

He's still a few weeks away anyway. We could go and stuffed by City and Chelsea then these discussions will change entirely. I'd say likely end of January before he's fully match fit so if things are still going amazingly, then he might have to sit out. Squad football is all about having a group of players who are all good enough to play so we have exactly what we need here.

if everyone else is still fit and we need to try and bring sturridge back in then it might be as a replacement for coutinho on the left. sterling starts on the right. if he fades then coutinho can replace him, maybe with sturridge then switching sides to the right.
sturridge will come inside from the wing and still give a very credible goal threat but without compromising suarez's more central role.
when sturridge and suarez both played together they both came deep and ran from left and right so it wont be to different.

gerrard, on the other hand...
cant see who to drop to bring him back. he isnt mobile enough to contribute to the high tempo pressing game. his inclusion will leave more for the others to do and it could just be too much. benchwarmer.

He likely is, but the record books come the end of the season will say for the season, not for the season minus 6 games.

So when checking pace against the record books they count.

Are people still going to say he doesn't walk back in the team? This is not "I told you so" post but I think it's pretty clear why Sturridge should be brought back in. When Suarez is kept quiet we don't have anyone else who can produce moments out of nothing. I for one cannot wait for him to return.
