I'm not really into cars, but that is a thing of beauty. I've still never been to San Carlo yet either

It's nice and all but I'm not really a Ferrari man. I'd rather waft around in a Bentley (the proper one).

'My love for LFC grows and grows'.

Daniel Sturridge has paid tribute to the Liverpool supporters for helping him maintain his outstanding form in front of goal.

The striker netted a fantastic double in the 4-0 thrashing of rivals Everton in the Anfield derby on Tuesday night and his tally in a red shirt now stands at 27 from just 34 matches.

The No.15 insists he feels at home in a red shirt and was quick to acknowledge the support from the terraces.

"I am just really enjoying my football at the moment," Sturridge told the Liverpool Echo.

"The love I have for this club just grows and grows more and more each day and I can only thank the fans for embracing me in the way that they have."

On the importance of the win over the Blues, the England forward said: "It's a massive three points, it's massive for the fans, who get the bragging rights now, and that's what it is all about.

"It was fantastic for the boys. We wanted to put on a performance for the fans, for the team, for everyone and obviously we're delighted.

"Of course I'm a bit disappointed not to score a hat-trick because that really would have been the icing on the cake.

"But at the same time we have won 4-0 at home against Everton so, really, I can't be too down on myself. Sometimes you score, sometimes you get a hat-trick, sometimes you don't get anything - and it was a good night for me.

"At the end of the day, it's just all about the team. I keep saying it but it really is a case of the team being all important. If we do that, if we work that way, we will get the results."

I walked past a Ferrari in Oxton yesterday, then had a Lamborghini drive past me in Bebington. Don't expect a Lamborghini in Bebington.

Another thought, Sturridge will likely sign a new contract in the Summer. Chelsea's contribution of £20k p/w for 18 months expires then.
If thats true its brilliant, not only did they sell us the best striker they had but they are also paying some of his wages

Ha ha, great work from Ayre.

I wonder if Leeds are still playing Fowler.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Wonder if it was 12m net of their contribution. Seems an odd deal.
