He has so many poor games its untrue, slows the game down and when the midfield advance he's either too deep or stands still instead of making a decent run. Great technically and works hard but other than that these days he doesn't seem up to much apart from the odd hollywood ball. i cant remember how far into the snoozefest of the game it was but sturridge gets the ball about 25 yards out, and it all goes slow motion.
he fakes right, then left, no danish defenders move, and no english players move either.
wtf is sturridge supposed to do. iirc he ends up shooting and the defender blocks it. totally uninspiring. imagine suarez just standing there flat footed, it'd never happen.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
