The problem with Daniel is that he's just as likely to get injured during his rehabilitation as he is on the pitch. I wouldn't be at all surprised to have another set back yet before the end of January.

I think that we could get someone of quality if we had £20m to £25m to throw at him (not including wages)
Lacazette, Doumbia (may be gettable at that price imo with the economic strife in Russia), and Aubameyang would be the types of players I would look at.
All have pace, all can play as a lone striker but also excel as part of a strike partnership.
All look like they could play with a striker like Sturridge as well as take his place when he is injured. And all look like they might be ready to make a step up in terms of league.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I can't either.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostGo on then, I can't think of any. Our whole budget should go on forwards.
We need to be ambitious and try and prize the very best forwards away from their respective clubs and that means having to pay more wages, the likes of Lewandowski and dare I say Aguero otherwise we're going to struggle.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. You're off your head if you think we can waltz over to City and take Augero.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostI can't either.

We always sign the next big thing as opposed to a mega star. If scouted correctly there are plenty out there who would do a great job. You have to remember, even signing world class doesn't guarantee anything. We could sign Augero and he could get injured and never be the same again. You're then talking £90m fee and £350k wages down the pan.
I'd certainly ask about Cavani if we had cash to spend and of course Benzema. Away from those I'd be asking about Lacazette, Doumbia, maybe likes of Dybala & Icardi. I don't know who Rodrigo is doing in Spain, he would have been worth a gamble last summer. Aside from those id have to have a look at who has kicked on this year.Forwards.......

We should have signed him in the Summer. That would have been a show of intent, but better late than never.

We've as much chance of getting Aguero as Benzema.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostYou're off your head if you think we can waltz over to City and take Augero.

i said that at the time. In reality i think we would have been much much stronger had we signed Reus and not signed any of the southampton 3. People state that Lallana is a top player but for me, he isn't. He is a solid player. Not sufficently better than what we already had - and by that, i mean he isn't going to propell us to title challengers.....he wasn't going to be that much better than Coutinho (i would actually rather have Phil in the team anyway.....and when you consider his age...)Originally posted by Tee View Post

We had a brilliant chance last summer. We were cash rich and we had just qualified for the champions league.... if the club admin was strong enough, we would have had the balls to stop the Suarez transfer and put pressure on Barca to put pressure on Sanchez. Basically say to everyone involved, Barca don't get Suarez unless we get Sanchez. If Barcelona had given him the ultimatum of LFC or Barca bench, i think he would have come to LFC. People go on that he wanted to live in London......well that is because the london option was available to him....LFC should have had the balls to make sure that option wasn't there.
I look at the likes of Lyon, Sevilla and even Southampton..... they get what they need in the transfer market. They don't bend over and ask the people they are dealing with to go gently. LFC seem to bring the lube to the party though..... it is a joke. Even the £75m is chump change when you consider that Suarez is one of the top players in the world. 4 month ban or not.....
I think the signings of Emre Can, Moreno, Manquillo and Origi were all good. However, had we had a couple of proper administrators at the club, then we should / could have had Sanchez and Alex Song thrown into the Suarez deal and Reus from Dortmund as well........as opposed to Lallana, Lovren, Lambert and Balotelli.....
